We would like to inform you that the System of Vocational Qualifications for the Hospitality and Catering Industry is currently operating in Cyprus, in which the vocational qualifications of each individual are examined and certified.
HRDA provide examinations for the following vocational qualifications:
- Reception (Levels 4,5)
- Food and Beverage Serving (Levels 3,4,5)
- Food Preparation and Cooking (Levels 3,4,5)
- Housekeeping (Levels 3,4,5)
- Pastry (Levels 4,5)
- Beverage Preparation and Serving (Level 4)
Examinations
Examinations are carried out in Examination Centres, which are approved by the HRDA, by monitoring the execution of work under real and / or simulated working conditions by a committee, oral examination and a short written examination.
Benefits for Participants
Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate by the HRDA, which will validate that the holder has the knowledge and skills necessary for the particular profession. This certification will help in job acquisition, professional development and recognition of the profession.

Participation Eligibility
Entitled for participation are men and women, employed, unemployed or economically inactive individuals residing or working legally in Cyprus with good knowledge of the Greek language. Participation in the examination and certification process for acquisition of vocational qualifications is FREE.
